Most Practical Car on the market

POST REASONS

Subaru Forestor XT- Near SUV capacity, near carlike handling, Porsche-like acceleration, and great all weather handling. Probably very very reliable, and is very affordable.

I think a lot of the problem rests in the fact that so many of our members aren't at the age where practicality really matters.

I like practicality, I'm just not sure what to nominate. I think the sienna is and extremely practical vehicle and so is the forester, I'm just trying to think of something different. I'll get back to you when I've made up my mind.

exactly, the main reasons i haven't posted is because i haven't been around many vehicles and i don't want to make a post that i will change later, because it is kind of hard to narrow it down

You failed to capitalize the first letter of your sentance and end it with a punctuation mark, so it evens out.

Well under the circumstances of being in an online forum in which many people do not capitalize and punctuate, and that Sarin was talking about low IQs, I think that what is more of an issue is that in his statement he misspelled the main insulting word.  Also the issue of not having the the first letter capitalized and not having punctuation is more of a lack of wanting to do it instead of a lack of know to do it.

Unless people are familiar with what you have said in the past, your post quality will be judged on what the post says, and how well it is written. I've always believed in typing intellligently, and find it very difficult often to decipher posts that are ill-capitalized and punctuated, especially if they're long, and may ignore them all together.

Just because we're on the Internet doesn't mean we need to act like sub-intelligent human beings.

By quoting Cartman, you may have just proven his point.

RE: Most Practical Car on the market

I saw one up close today and made up my mind for this post.

Nissan Murano- Ugly, but good storage room, enough power to be somewhat fun, and enough ground clearance and AWD to be capable.

for an honorable mention I'd say the Toyota Highlander, it's an SUV, yeah, but it does most everything well, and does it while being well mannered.

I disagree. The Murano's entire purpose is to disguise utility in style, at the sacrafice of some utility. The Mitsubishi Endeavor does the same thing except it sacrafices no utility.

I would still pick the Murano over the Endeavor... the Endeavor isn't as powerful as the Murano, and it lacks the car-ish image that makes the Murano different, as well as more friendly to those who aren't fans of the SUV craze.

The Endeavor is more powerful than the Murano, not less so. Acceleration tests have been in favor of the Mitsu, and it has a larger engine.

Where do you get that?
http://autos.msn.com/research/compare/default.aspx?src=compare&c=0&n=3&i=0&tb=0&ph1=t0&ph2=t0&dt=0&v=t98637&v=t96991

The Murano has a 245hp 3.5L V6 with 246 lb/ft of torque

The Endeavor has a 225hp 3.8L V6 with 250lb/ft of torque.

The Murano has more horsepower, and negligibly less torque. The Endeavor's only real difference is 0.3L more displacement.

That, and the Murano gets 20/25 mpg while the Endeavor gets 17/21
