Member's Titles
Permalink Closed

Here is the current names and amount of posts needed to gain those titles:

  • Newbie---------------------------0
  • Junior Member------------------50-499
  • Senior Member------------------500-999
  • Guru------------------------------1000-2499
  • God-------------------------------2500-?

I'm open for any suggestions because I'm not too fond of any of these names anyway.

If you can do this, let Junior Member go all the way to 500, and let Senior Member be 501-1,000.

So what you are saying is no "Member" just "Junior Member" (and then senior member once you hit 501)?

Exactly. Kill that pointless middle thing that there's no good name for. I don't really like Guru either.

That's fine by me.. I like the new symbol a lot though, leave it. And does 2500 have to be whore? That's just not very flattering.

You should need more than one post to be a Junior Member. I'd say 50 or 100.

Okay, and I still don't like the name Guru, so any suggestions are welcome.

We could add on to the religious theme and make it Pope.

I was only half kidding. It's still better than "guru".

I know, here's an idea though.  Maybe we could make it to where they are like engines, and the more posts you have the more cylinders you get. (it's just a thought, I don't care if it's shot down)

We could do a brand ranking. For example:

Someone with under 50 posts is a Kia, 50-499 is a Honda, 500-999 is an Infiniti, 1,000-2,499 is Mercedes, and 2,500 and up is Rolls Royce.

But there isn't enough difference between Lexus and Mercedes.

I agree. However, I like the cylinder idea better. With brands, sometimes which is better is subjective. However, with the exception of a few die hard Honda fans who think anything bigger than a V6 is blasphemy, I think most people agree that more cylinders is better (or at least more fun). What I'm saying is we're least likely to **** someone off if we do cylinders.

Example:
0-50- 4 Cylinder (or 4 banger, whatever)
50-499- V6
500-999- V8
1000-2499- V10
2499+ - V12
You could have the word member after the cylinder number or something, if you wanted it to make sense to anyone glancing at it, but I think it's a neat idea.

We could do a GM lineup:

Saturn
Chevrolet
Pontiac
Buick
Cadillac

Ya, the cylinder idea is better, and the brand thing is to subjective. And maybe you could shove in actual names or layouts of engines. Like

4 banger/BC18

turbo 4 banger/sr20det

6 cylinder/ VQ

turbo 6/Rb26dett/2zjedt (<-whatever the supra is)

etc etc.

Hey, if oyu go with that plan, make me Sequentaily turbocharged 6 cylinder.

That's kindof a long title.... they're all rather long if you do it that way. I think individual engines, going up in cylinder size (and skipping the stupid 5 cylinder) would be simpler, and clearer.

Well, despite the name, this isn't really about GM (I like the idea though) and do you really think Pontiac is above Chevrolet?

Also I thought the brands could be a bit offensive or whatever to someone, but they would be a troll and I would ban them.

We could make a poll and decide or whatever, I don't really want to make the decision.
