You're website looks very promising and I think it'll be really cool once it's all done. Sarin's is cool too, and, well Wizard's is closed but the banner is cool.

Yes... I basically ran out of time. I'm probably going to continue to get busier as this year goes on, but if by some miracle of God I get enough time, I'll start it back up. I quit the site to help manage www.airportsandairplanes.com, I doubt any of you saw it, but it was an excellent aviation website, and I really enjoyed taking pictures either while I was traveling, or just driving to airports within a four hour radius to take pictures. Great fun, but the cost of maintaining the site, and time constraints on the part of the administrator and myself led to its demise.

Your site or the aviation site (or both) had to close?

Both...

I shut down my site because AirportsAndAirplanes had become increasingly large and demanding, so my help was more valuable than ever. SO, I closed mine down, and helped run AandA for a few months, but as time commitments elsewhere increased, there wasn't time anymore for the site, so we shut it down also.

Why did you have to close the site? Why couldn't you just let it become a little out-of-date?

Well, with my site, it was a bigger undertaking than I could possibly even keep reasonably up to date while working on another website as well. I had the latest news on the site, but the big problem, the time consuming problem, was that I had a twelve page gallery consisting of the name and a picture of every car available for sale in the United States, as well as when you clicked on the picture it took you directly to the manufacturers website for that specific model. Huge time issues, because with so many new vehicles coming out all the time, or styling updates, or link changes, I couldn't keep up. (I had to make massive changed to the whole website matrix everytime I updated the gallery

). As for AirportsAndAirplanes, it had become rather costly due to the amount of space and bandwidth it required, and we just didn't have time to do the traveling it required anymore. That, and that our loyal website visitors just started thinning out after a while. Our forum had started off great, but it dwindled and died. It was sad.

You couldn't have just left if a bit out of date instead of taking all material off of it though? I'd have loved to see that site, even if it contained pictures of 2003 cars instead of 2005s.

My site will link somewhere else for photo galleries, probably Edmunds. Much less work, and they'd have better pictures.

Side note about my site: There's more content now. All of the IFCAR Top Picks have been named and are posted, but only sedans have information about why they were chosen (yet). Feel free to ask/comment/make another suggestion about it.
