EDIT: Another pic, from Autoweek, rumor that it is a replacement called the "Calibur"

But, it's in German.(or whatever)

RE: 2006 Dodge Neon

I like it, except for the ION/Maxima roofline and the stubby trunk.

I still think Dodge is trying to make their cars look too truck-ish on the front, but I like this sketch more than I've liked the Charger or some of their other sketches. Looks okay, but I agree the stubby trunk looks really strange, and isn't likely to have a large enough opening to put anything significantly sized in, unless they make it a hatchback.

The rear looks a lot like the Mazda 3 to me (roofline mainly).  I like the truck grill thing better on this too.  In the article I could make out that it might/will have a diesel motor.  The five door version reminds me of something, I can't think what of though (Murano maybe?).  I don't know why the roadster and five door have a different front fascia either.  The roadster looks like a mix between Viper and Miata.  The phrase "Nun will man dem Neon zu neuem Leben verhelfen.  Nicht nur in Nord-amerika, sondern auch in Europa."  gives me the impression it is a foreign version not to be sold here.

The 5-door reminds me of the Chevy Nomad concept.

No Kevin, that's not right. Nicht nur in Nord-Amerika, sondern auch in Europa means "Not only in North America, but now also in Europe". It means that they're going to sell the Neon in Europe now also. I speak German.

Hey guys, how're ya'll doing?
I agree the front of the sedan is too truckish. I don't quite like it. If you hide the front, the rest can be easily mistaken for a 3 sedan. But if the price is right and the car is not crappy, who knows, it might sell well.

Welcome!

Although I personally like the front end, I agree about the rest. Hopefully the trunk will be made a bit longer, as that alone would prevent it from looking 3-ish.

What's with the huge grilles that Dodge has been putting on their cars? It looks terrible. The others look like convertible and SUV versions of the the Dodge Sling Shot concept shown in Detriot last year.

I'm not a fan of the whole truck grilles on cars either, but I think that sketch of the Neon is the least ugly version of that so far.

I think maybe that's a photoshop, look at the taillight, it hangs out past the car.

The sketch did look a lot better. That thing looks like a compact SUV, not a compact car.
