Not seeing any Lexus myself.
I like the front about the same, but hate the new rear.

I think the way they curve on the inside part and the top remind me of the last generation LS headlights. (like, pre-2000). The rear is just odd. I think the front on the current one is downright ugly, and this one is less ugly, it's just not as distinct.

The current 7-Series is a rather blockish car, so it makes sense for it to have rather blockish headlights to complete the look IMO.
It did need an update though. It looked nice, but dated, as the previous-gen 5-Series did."
True, but they didn't have to go and turn it into something ugly. I think the update is slightly less ugly on the front, like I said, but I don't car for the way the 7-series looks in general, and I certainly (if I had it) wouldn't shell out that much money for a car that visually questionable.

I wouldn't have a problem with buying an ugly car as long as it's good at everything else, but I wouldn't buy the 7 anyway. Terrible dash design and iDrive, as well as being far more expensive than the LS430, take it out.
