The Azeal concept coupe, revealed by Nissan at the Detroit auto show, which closes tomorrow, could provide clues as to what the next-generation Sentra compact line will look like.
Perhaps it will even include an Azeal-like coupe, to compete with Honda's Civic.
Nissan design chief Shiro Nakamura is on record as saying the new Sentra will be "modern and dynamic," not "conservative" like the current model.
That description certainly applies to Azeal.
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn revealed in Detroit that the design originally planned for the new Sentra was sent back to the studio for an overhaul after faring poorly in consumer clinics — and in his eyes.
As a result, the new generation's arrival has been delayed until late in 2006.
And as noted on GMInsidenews, it looks much like the Scion tC.

I think tC is what it is aimed at. It must also have the sky-view like roof I guess. Good to see a return of small coupes, but unfortunately they are not too cheap. Sentra should have a family resemblance to it, one would logically assume. Late 2006 is VERY late IMO. Do they have a frontal pic? BTW, the link isn't working for me (maybe its firefox).

Good question. I'll agree the Azeal does look like it is aimed at the tC.

It doesn't work for me either. I found this article on another forum.
