A photoshop of what the next TT could look like. It doesn't stand out as much as it's supposed to, like the current one does. Looks too much like their sedans.

I like it. The current TT is more unique, admittedly, but this one looks good, and hopefully they'll fix some of the current one's quirks. And add a little room, I had a time falling into the driver seat of that car.
I hope it's the page is warping the roofline instead of Audi, as it is it looks like an Accord coupe from the rear. I don't like the shape of the headlights either, they should go with something more like the A6's or A8's.

I don't think the rear is especially attractive, but it's not bad either. I like the headlights, they're not quite typical Audi, but I like the shape. They have to have something to distinguish the front of the TT from the A6, after all.

The headlights look like they're straight off the new Sonata.

Yes. The car is far from perfect. The interior wasn't very impressive, and the seating position wasn't very comfortable, even compared to other extremely low-slung sports cars, at least in my opinion. The interior's biggest problems were the dash, which made the best effort to be "sporty" and ended up looking cheap, with an unusual center stack that had fan and temp controls that were like something that couldn't decide whether they wanted to be buttons or dials. That, and the climate control system was just rather odd to run anyway. Another poor point was a less than comfortable rear seat with a complete lack of head support (which is due, of course, to the rear window which is angled so extremely that headrests would completely block any rearward view. At any rate, those were things I considered "quirks".

Oh, I got the impression that there were some mechanical problems.

I don't know about that, I don't own one, but the guy I know who does own one has had it in the shop for repairs (not normal maintenence) twice in it's 14,000 mile life. So reliability isn't shaping up to be a strong suit for him, but I don't know if that's typical of TTs or not. But, I'm not sure if those problems were for mechanical problems, or electrical, or what was wrong.
