IFCAR.net layout

I'm thinking of rearranging my site, and would like some input. Which layout of the homepage do you prefer, the current setup (http://ifcar.net) or the experimental page (http://ifcar.net/new_page_1.htm), or a combination of stuff from each? (Note that the bars on the experimental page would have functioning links if I were to introduce the setup).

Please vote, and voice your opinions!

hmmmm.......I actually like both about the same, the one thing I prefer, though, is where "What's New" is on the current home page.  If you don't use the bars I suggest you make all of your button thingys together on one template thing.  But as far as the buttons, I like both about the same.

Do you prefer the old What's New because of the box around it, the fact that it's near the bottom of the page, or because it's centered?

I like it because it's centered mainly, but I think it should be below you're statement.

Your pic doesn't work.
EDIT: Now it does. Well, I decided that it would be nice to have the navigation buttons at the top of the screen, and the giant ones don't go right up there.

And what I was talking about above was that I had heard complaints about the introductory text stretching all the way across the page, so I put the What's New box next to it. My question was that if the What's New was moved back below the text, what could I put next to the text?

I could run and ad banner down, and I considered that, but I would then have to coordinate the text to be the same size, and it wouldn't look right next to the What's New box.

I like the layout of the down-the-side menu on this page, but this would be a layout that would be carried over to all pages of the site, and I already have a set of links going down the left side in the comparison tests, and in my plan for the Review setup.

Let's see what thewizard16 is thinking of.

Well, I'm not at home right now, so I don't have access to my software, but I'll be home tonight and I don't have any meetings scheduled for this evening, so I should have some time after I get home from running errands, etc.
