I read this and was expecting something more along the lines of the old 9-3 hatch, not a full fledged wagon. Not that the wagon is bad, I think it looks pretty good, albeit not terribly Saab-ish. But I was hoping for a 4 door fastback type hatch like the Mazda6 5 door or the last 9-3 hatchback. I love the looks of the 9-3 sedan and think that a fastback would look really sharp.

I agree about the regular 9-3 being a good looking car. I think the fastback style you're talking about would have looked much better, but oh well, they don't pay me to think up designs for them. And they shouldn't have paid whoever put those taillights on there.

I agree completely to all of that.
I guess they figure a hatch might take more sales from the 9-2X.
I like the looks of it, besides the taillights anyway.
