Heres a scary thought...

As of, well, 4 days ago, I am legally able to drive! Yes I know its a bit late, but who cares I passed the permit test and now i get to drive, and I can get my lisence in 6 months. I already got a car, too, a 94 Buick LeSabre (and I drive around my grandpa's 99 Grand Am too)

(I got a good reason to use a bunch of smilies, get over it!)

Congrats! and you suck  I got like a month and a half till I can get my permit (15), and then my license when I'm 16.  Is that the same age limits there?  (I know Sarin's isn't, haha)

If I recall, Maryland law is 15 and 9 months for the learners, and they're considering making it harder to get. Just be glad you're in Missouri.

Ah. I know in Arkansas it's 14 for a permit, but they've restructured the laws so that even though you get a "license" at 16, it's somewhat restricted and the penalties are harsher for violations, so full licenses aren't given until 18 now. It sounds like many states are making licenses a little harder to get.

Here in Cow Hampshire, I mean New Hampshire, you are able to drive at 15 1/2, and a full license at 16. No restrictions or court appearances. But for 6 months, you can't have more than 1 passenger and any violation of the law and you lose your license for 3 months.

Your state is more lenient than mine. Ours can get hardship licenses at 15, and they also can't have passengers, but if you violate anything, you're out of luck until you're 18.

I guess out of those Missouri is one of the best off, permit at 15, license at 16 without any restrictions other than some minor ones.  The only one that comes to mind is you can't be driving from like 1-5 A.M.

Which reminds me, I turn 15 in 3 weeks so I might want to look at the book.

Probably a good idea. I don't know about time restrictions on Arkansas licenses, but I don't think there are any. I don't know, I havent looked at a book since I moved to Arkansas, and I only knew about the recent changed because I just bought new tags a couple weeks ago, and I sat there and talked to a woman while I was waiting.
