It looks better, but I still hate the front of the Malibu. I think it's the headlights. The rest of the car looks good, and the interior, although a bit odd, looks okay, but the front of the car is hideous. I got to inspect one a bit closer in Indiana (rented a Malibu Maxx) and it's nicer than I'd though on first impressions, but I still wouldn't own one, almost on looks alone.
So the new Monte Carlo dont go the center chrome bar and neither does this. Are they doing away with it now?
Looks good BTW

A slight improvement, I guess. I'm still not a huge fan of the looks of the Malibu, though it does look a bit better in person than in photos. I'm just not into the whole tall car thing.

I don't think the tall car thing bothers me, I think it's the snub-nosed looking front.

They better not take it away, that's their trademark design thingy.
It looks quite a bit better, which isn't saying much but it's not bad. It is the headlights that take away from it for me, they shouldn't be above the grill.

It appears as though they are phasing it out. Spy shots of the next Tahoe suggest that the bar is gone from it, and the Cobalt, Monte, and Impala got a more standard grille. That leaves just their current SUVs and vans with that styling feature.

I don't know that that's it with me, I just think it's the shape/size.

Just saw an interior pic, changes include (and are probably limited to) a three-spoke steering wheel and new gauges that hopefully aren't limited to the SS models.

A new steering wheel would greatly improve the console look. I'll have to look up pictures of it.
