Most of you probably remember the most recent IFCAR comparo (midsize sedans, http://ifcar.net/reviews.comparisons.midsizesedans.htm), and here's the SUV group:
Vehicles included: BMW X3 2.5 Buick Rendezvous CXL Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT Chrysler Pacifica Touring Ford Explorer XLT Ford Freestlye Limited GMC Envoy XUV Honda Pilot EX-L Isuzu Ascender 7-passenger Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited Mitsubishi Montero Limited Nissan Murano 3.5SL Nissan Pathfinder SE Toyota 4Runner SR5 Toyota Highlander Limited
Enjoy it.
Before you bring it up, I am aware of my decision to review these vehicles more like cars than like trucks. As most consumers treat these vehicles as standard family cars, they were reviewed as such. If you have a problem with that, write your own thing.
If you have questions, please ask. If you see errors (in either content or with the site) please let me know. Note that not too many links on the site are working, but everything pertaining to the comparo should be.
BTW, it costs money to run a site, so if viewers could please click on a few ads, I'd appreciate it.
Also, if you have any suggestions for the next IFCAR comparo, let me know. I've got some ideas, but haven't started working on anything yet.
Good reviews. My only comment would be that in some cases, ability off road needs to be considered. A friend of mine recently became a real estate agent, and considering some of the places he has to drive, off-road ability is important. He shopped around extensively, and bought a 4Runner.
For on-road users only though, I think your review is pretty well done.

I don't think any local dealers would let me back if I test drove any of their $30,000 vehicles into Mattawoman Creek.

They don't have to. However, they might be interested to know that they could get a BMW in that same price range (though more of the case with the Murano than the Pathfinder).

Claim to be a real estate agent and say you need to know if it can handle it? Haha, no, I imagine you're right. And like you said, most people won't use them for offroad anyway. The wimps.

Good deal. I apologize for not having been clicking the ads more frequently lately, but when I'm online, I'm normally trying to multitask, and all I accomplish are a few posts. Ifcar, I'll try and make sure to click the ads on your site more often.
