Pic: Next-gen Impreza

The US probably won't get a 3-door hatch, but you can see the Tribeca design theme applied to a smaller car. It works surprisingly well in that image, IMO.

I don't like the hatch, but apparently that doesn't matter.  There have been pictures of an Impreza with this theme going around for quite a while, but I thought the middle circle was different.  It's not as bad as it could be, but I definitely prefer the current one.

I don't care for the front styling much at all. I don't like the headlights, the huge scoop, and the weird grille at all.

Of course, otherwise it would be camoflauged/disguised.

Thankfully. I personally hope the Tribeca falls flat on its face in sales, so that they won't insist on carrying that styling through to other vehicles. Though, horrible styling didn't stop the Aztek from selling.

Subaru buyers are a loyal bunch, and they've been waiting for years for a Subie with a 3rd row. It'll be probably be solid hit no matter how good it is.

Hmm. There are other 3 row vehicles with 4 or AWD that are good quality and don't look like crap. Oh well, I guess I'll get numb to it like I did with the Aztek or some old Hyundais after a while.

There are no doubt more than a few Outback and Forester owners who want something bigger and really want a Subaru, regardless of whether or not it's actually the best car, or even an especially good one.

Why? A little loyalty I can understand, like in the sense of giving your brand the first look when shopping, but blind and ridiculous loyalty is stupid.

You know that I agree.

However, one could look to the marginal success of another high-loyalty brand that introduced a more-upmarket vehicle (you get three guesses).

I know it's not that, but I posted that long enough ago that I have no idea which vehicle I was talking about (don't think it was the Phaeton, but it's possible).
