IFCAR Comparo: Minivans

Most of you probably remember the most recent IFCAR comparo (crew cab pickups), and here's the minivan group:

http://ifcar.net/reviews.comparisons.minivans.htm

Vehicles included:
Chevrolet Uplander LS
Chrysler Town & Country LX 3.3
Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 3.8
Ford Freestar SES 3.9
Honda Odyssey LX
Kia Sedona EX
Mazda MPV ES
Mercury Monterey Convenience
Nissan Quest 3.5S
Toyota Sienna CE

Before you bring it up, I am aware that the review is still...rough around the edges, with some data missing. However, none of it should be critical to the review (mostly base prices and horsepower specs), if it is, just ask and I'll find the info.

If you have questions, please ask. If you disagree with anything, please bring it up for an INTELLIGENT debate (IE not "Well, I thought this should have been in first place, and I saw another comparison that agrees with me, so you're wrong.") If you see errors (in either content or with the site) please let me know. Note that not too many links on the site are working, but everything pertaining to the comparo should be.

BTW, it costs money to run a site, so if viewers could please click on a few ads, I'd appreciate it.

Enjoy!

I'm asking an honest question, not being a pain, but how the did the Quest get 1st place? The interior/center console alone is enough to turn away the conventional minivan buyer, and the controversial styling has as many haters as lovers. I'm thinking that maybe price played a significant role, because the Quest, at least from the brief experiences I've had with it, is not as nice overall as the Sienna or Odyessy, and falls short when compared to either, mainly in the interior department. I can see the Quest getting kudos for being "different" and attracting a different type of minivan buyer, but for the normal minivan customer, I can't see it being the best option. Just my opinion.

When you consider that some ergonomics issues are the biggest problem with the vehicle, and that it is competitive with Honda and Toyota in every other way for much less money, it becomes obvious enough.

The base CE version is too expensive for the minimal feature content it comes with, especially compared to the others.

I see.  I was also surprised to find the T&C/Caravan so high on the list.  I guess I just assumed that something that aged in a group like that (pretty much all of them brand new) wouldn't do as well.

The 05 model was heavily updated, the styling was just unchanged. They reworked the platform and the seats this year.
