He at least can admit that the Chrysler looks better than anything GM could ever hope to produce.

I think you're joking (since I was referring to the amount of money Toyota has, and their profitability being enough to make any automaker look poor by comparison, which is ridiculous and I still don't understand how a car company can make so much more than anyone else) but I don't think they're too smart for you. You're in the gifted class, remember?

GM is the largest coporation in the world, though. Not just automotive.

Kindof. Exxon Mobil is the largest company in the world right now, followed by GE and Wal-Mart. When it comes to automotive, GM is the largest, but more often than not, money speaks louder than company size. At any rate, I'd be pleased to be an executive at either, though my yearly bonus might be bigger at Toyota. I'll have to look up salaries.

Well, maybe there's something different in the corporate structure of the companies that puts them in different categories. If you compare financial strength of companies though, Exxon and Wal-Mart even make Toyota look small by comparison, let alone GM. It's be a drop in their bucket as far as profits go. But with Wal-Mart that's the benefit of the retail industry vs. the manufacturing industry.

I'm not sure.  But GM does own (or have rights to it or whatever) to a ****load of other companies.  Even DirecTV was one.
