Good question. I havent been a member for two years, so that shouldn't affect me, but it's still a good question.
I was going to start my own forum, but I see ifcar already took care of it. Maybe we should undertake a massive recruiting effort to get some guys here, since C&D doesn't really give a ****.
I suspect that this free forum software actually works.

Welcome to the forums Catman. So far this one has had no software problems in it's lifespan, and everything's been smooth sailing. Let's hope it stays that way, and we avoid going the way of C&D...
As I have noted before, I have no problems with advertising web sites and forums that may be of interest to other auto enthusiasts. SOLICITING the C & D forum for new members on a yet to be established forum that is at least partially intended to supplant the C & D forums, regardless of the good intentions, is something I can't allow. (If you had a house for sale, you wouldn't let someone stand on your front lawn and advertise HIS house down the street.) I realize that may cause some hard feelings, and I'm just as (if not more) frustrated than the rest of you about the ongoing problems.
It is my deep set hope that the recent announcement regarding Ideal and HFNM is a move in a better direction, because up until now, the majority of the problem appears to lie on HFNM's side of the problem. (Trying to pour a gallon of gas into a half gallon container, so to speak.)

It was intended as a protest, an attempt to demonstrate that people were upset with the situation and wanted to do something about it, not an attempt to undermine C/D.
BTW, I noticed that the Member Directory has disappeared, is it one of the things that was determined to be taking up more space than it deserved?

Is it down for everyone, or just me? I was using it and then it suddenly stopped working about five minutes ago.
If the rest of you can get online, can someone PM Bartender for me? Thanks.
