"About a year ago Hot Rod magazine talked up the idea of making a new chevelle. They came up with several designs from both readers and professionals and sent them to Chevy along with a ton of Chevelle fans. Of course Chevy just brushed all these ideas right off their shoulder with basically no response to all the great ideas. Imagine Motorsports saw this wonderful idea and decided to take matters into their own hands. Nearly a year later...this is their work. Taken from an '04 GTO and converted into a modern day Chevelle, but because of chevy owning the rights to that name the cars is the HRSS. It is costly, but reportedly took over 3,000 man hours to make the first HRSS. Now orders can be filled in about 6 months, but they are still pricey. Starting at around $70,000 which includes the body conversion only. The HRSS 454 comes with a 454 (obviously) along with the body conversion and badges both inside and out."
I think it's terrible looking, it's not actually that bad but the front is poorly done imo, and the rear looks too much like the old Chevelle. I don't like the retro look either (of any car).

Have to agree. The three quarter rear view, although not a great shot and not showing a lot of detail, looks good. A little to blatant a copy of the Chevelle, and the car is a little to narrow to completly pull it off, but not bad overall. The interior is decent, what you can see. But that front end is a poor attempt at duplicating a modern version of the old quad headlight look.
Someone one on the forum you linked to first mentioned "the Bentley lights". Actually, it looks more like the front of the new Rolls Royce, and I don't care much for the front of those, either.

I agree that the lights look almost Rolls Royce-ish and the interior should look [retty good... As far as I can tell, with the exception of stitching in the seat and some minor changes, they left the GTO interior pretty much the way it was.

They wouldn't have any reason to change the interior, not only would it be hard to convert into looking retro but it is a universal source of praise for the GTO.

I agree. The GTO is the only GM interior that I consider downright impressive. It's not just that materials are good, it really looks good. The STS and XLR are great too, but not exceptionally stunning, and pretty much normal compared to other cars in their segments.

That's understandable. The front end, instead of looking like a Chevelle, looks like the Chevelle's homely sister that got smashed in the face at a young age.
Excuse me while i vomit. Good god, that should never see the light of day.
