Today I saw a...

You know this type of thread. What cool car/truck/etc did you happen to see today (or recently)? This mornin I saw a green Ford SHO. Very sleek looking.

A DUCK!!

I haven't seen anything today, or recently, that was actually interesting.  Although there is a white Mitsubishi 3000GT that goes around town.  (this is a 5k population town, btw, cars like this are very rare)

Well, over the last three days I saw a Ford GT (a doctor in town just bought one) and a Aston Martin Vanquish (owned by a strange old guy whose house isn't worth as much as the car). Also, I saw a Mercury Montego (first one I'd seen). It's a pretty decent looking car, slightly less bland than the Five Hundred. Oh, and I saw a LaCrosse, which I think is the first one I've seen driving around, and I followed a new STS home today. So I've had pretty good luck with first time-sightings this week.

Since Kevin mentioned that, you should take into consideration that I live in a town of 12,000... so some of the cars I mentioned that are rare in large cities are practically unheard of in towns such as mine. (Luckily, we have lots of rich people, so it's fun for a normal person to look around when they're driving)

The most expensive car in our town is either a Mercedes M-Class, or CLK230 Kompressor.  (I don't know prices on either but I know those are the most expensive)

Oh. Well, if it's a nice M, it might push 45-50,000. As for the CLK, I can't find a CLK230 Kompressor as having been a US model. Anyway, that's not very expensive for the most expensive car in your town, like I've said before, my father's former employer drives a 760Li (135,000) and has a garage consisting of an 04 Range Rover, 01 Lexus, and a 99 Jaguar. But he's exceptionally well off, and he doesn't even have the most expensive vehicle of the area. At any rate, I'm assuming it's a small town?

Woke up at 3AM and when I looked at my clock, which sits on my window sill, I saw a young deer standing like 4 feet from my window nibbling on some grass.

Anyway, saw a VW R32 Golf today. I guess that would be the coolest car sighting of the day.

thewizard16, do you live in a small by-itself town, or a town in the suburbs?

I've seen (overall, not yesterday) something like five 05 STSs (including one next to a CTS-V at a stoplight, the moments that Wimmer live for), several Montegos, and a Taurus SHO at a used car lot.

And a black Mitsu 3000GT lives right around the corner from me, and other cars in my neighborhood include a black GTO, a red 04 XJ8, a silver 04 CLK320, and two Chrysler 300 V6s. People living are either buying cars that they can't afford or living in inexpensive houses so they can.

Maybe it's a 320, but I was sure it was 230.  But yeah we're a small town in a rural area too, the biggest town in a 100-150 mile radius is 17k people.  There was a 5 series going around town a while back actually, but I don't think they're here anymore, those people own a publishing company (Walsworth's Publishing).

It's a town by-itself. I'm honestly not sure why there is so much money in the area, as the last town I lived in was about four times larger, and didn't have half the money this place does. At any rate, the medical and law communities here are extremely prosperous, and even thought it's not as predominant of a retirement community as in the last six years, rich old people from California and Chicago come here to retire (the lakes make it appealing, I guess.) Then there are the self made richies, like my dad's old boss (self-made billionaire, literally, owns stuff all over the US), and I think (according to some statistic the newspaper quoted once) it has the highest number of millionaires per-capita than any other town under 50,000 in this section of the US.

Unfortunately, I'm one of the (majority) regular middle-classers, so I don't get to do anything but drive around and look.

There's a new black STS parked in front of my house. Its the first one I've seen do far. Then, there's a GMC Yukon next to the Caddy with ricey tails.

Saw a yellow Plymouth Prowler today, along with a new silver GTO that seems to have moved into my neighborhood.

Kevin's dream, a neighborhood with two GTOs.

People will always see it, it's not like there are going to be so many other threads that it will be bumped off of the page otherwise. Especially because there should be daily posts in it.
