Depends on the price and such. Yes, I'd consider it, but cars with retractable roofs very rarely look as good as a proper coupe when the top is up. If a competitor offers a fixed top vehicle with similar performance, I'd more than likely go with that. While I can see the appeal of open air motoring, I've just never been a real convertable fan (though I oddly kind of like targas). Fixed roofs are stiffer, fixed roofs are cheaper, fixed roofs are less complex. Fixed roof is a better package from my standing and for my purposes.

I also tend to prefer coupes to convertibles, though I consider a convertible with a retractable hardtop to be an innovative coupe as well as an innovative convertible.
Oh, yeah, I was talking about a retractable hardtop. I can see why you might prefer a coupe to a convertible, most of the time I do too. However, I consider a hardtop convertible to be the "best of both worlds". Too bad there are currently none I can imagine affording.

I would assume so, considering that a standard Tiburon stickers for under $20,000 fully loaded."
Maybe the 4 cylinder. The GT 6 speed starts at $19,999 (excluding shipping). Granted, the only option is a $750 package, so they wind up just under $21K. So yeah, a convertable would likely not be much more than $25K, which is pretty affordable as far as retractable hardtops go.

I would consider that very affordable for a decent sporty car, and especially one with a retractable hardtop.

I didn't mean stickered (though it was exactly what I said), you can get a fully loaded Tib GT V6 in real-world pricing for under $20,000.

The G6 has a hard top too.

If so, not by much. I'd estimate a $4K-$7K premium over a sedan, and a sedan with decent feature content is around $24,000 (they probably won't have no-option G6 convertibles). Not close to the Hyundai, the G6 sedan would probably be no cheaper than the comparably-equipped Tib convertible.
