We all rather like the looks of the Lincoln, and it is a Lincoln, but we haven't test drove one yet, dealers were of course closed today.

Neither of those cars are known for reliability, I wouldn't get one without a warranty.
If you want a cheaper Deville BTW, get a Park Avenue.

Reliability was a big issue, because our '90 Continental was terrible (15 years I know, but my parents are stupid.).
And we considered the Park Avenue but it wasn't very appealing, the DeVille isn't much more appealing but I still wanted to know what you guys thought. We probably would've gotten and LS but if reliability is that bad then I guess not.

With the exception of the LS, those are definitely old-person cars. I don't understand why your parents would like those cars.

They don't like the Park Avenue, and I have no idea about the DeVille, that was just my suggestion, because it's a Cadillac and a rather nice car (I thought).

It's a cushy old-person car, that doesn't excel at anything, but has a significant enough price advantage over other major luxury car models to be considered a decent buy.

However, when buying it used, it doesn't have enough of a price advantage over a new/slightly used Avalon or even Five Hundred/Montego.
And Kevin, you don't mean that your parents are stupid. They're "gifted".

Actually the person I was named after acts like that, except with the common sense of an adult.
