RE: Turn your clock forward yet?

I suppose not. Still, that hasn't happened before, has it?

Maybe once or twice.

Or just not noticed, the problem vanishes as soon as another post appears.

If you think a Seiko is expensive, wait until you see the price tags of the high-end Swiss watches...

If you're talking about the $25,000 ones, do they still make them?

Anyone who will spend more on a wristwatch than I have spent on every automobile I've bought in my life doesn't deserve to have $25,000.

Agreed, $25,000 for a watch is insane, they have those ads in C/D to buy replicas of them for like $300.  I also think that is kind of stupid, because I'm happy with my $40 one I have now, but my parents are going to buy me one, if they don't then I don't get the money for anything else so I'm seizing the opportunity.

I'd still be hesitant to take it. How big of a dent will that put in your family budget?

Mine will actually probably be about $150-$200, but it won't really put a dent in it.

I guess if your parents can afford it and want to give it to you, you might as well enjoy it.

Decent philosophy. Be spoiled while you can, I suppose.

Or in a less demeaning way, take what you can get while you can get it.

I didn't intend it to be demeaning. I was a spoiled kid, not in the sense of I got away with everything, but rather that I was given a lot of nice things. There's nothing really negative about being spoiled the way I meant it, it's just a good descriptive term.

As a child, I was given the choice of working for nice things, or being given not-so-nice things. Guess which option I went with most of the time.

I know (well, not really but knew you didn't mean it to be demeaning) but rewording it made it less demeaning, like saying making a glass halfway filled less full, it wasn't full, but you still made it less.  (are you confused yet?)

Knowing Kevin, nothing worth knowing.
