Best performance per $ car on sale

You can choose other, just post it.

What is the best performance (that's power and handling) per dollar value on the market? (Or soon to be here?)

Lowest price for the best power and handling, eh? I'd say the SRT-4 pretty covers that. This poll covers the two of the three thing it excels at (price, power), and it has decent handling as well.

I'd say that it's a tie between the Vette or SRT-4.

I voted for the Corvette, because compared to other cars with that much power, it's pricing is good. I also think the Mustang GT is a heck of a deal.

While the Corvette is a performance bargain compared to its own class, it can't come close to cars that do nothing but go fast for a low price in performance for the money.

Probably true. I should have voted for one of the cheap rockets, even if I do hate just about all of them.

But the Stang doesn't handle so good compared with some others in its range.

Just in case you haven't noticed, handling is included...

Well, if GT4 is anywhere near the reality of some say it is, then the Mustang is GREAT.  But I'm not gonna judge cars based on a video game.

It's not an M3 or a WRX (from their reputations for handling, I've never driven them), but I found the Mustang to be predictable and easy to control, with almost no body roll.

Well, if we can go by GT4, to me the Stang handled like ****.

I haven't played the game, but I have driven one in real life, at realistic speeds, (up to 100) and it seemed perfectly fine to me. I don't know how it'd handle at 140mph because you're never going to get it that high, so don't worry about it.

So do mine, but the Stang was right up there, of course I only drove it on El Capitan.

Even though I've heard that this game is supposed to be the most realistic game available, it's still no substitute for actually having driven the car. I realize that's probably not an option for everyone, but I certainly wouldn't base my outlook on it's handling on a game, even if you do have a steering wheel and pedals and a racing seat to use with the game. If you use a regular controller, you can't really judge it even by game standards.

Yes, but I highly doubt that they make the car handle great and in real life it doesn't.

Probably true, but my statement stands.

It's got to be the SRT-4. It's not the best at anything, but it's faster than anything else that's 21K...faster than most that are 30K.
