Before you bring it up, I am aware that the review is still...rough around the edges. Considering that discussions of the results was already in progress before the results were even fully written, I am posting the article as soon as it was finished. I recognize that there may be some typos that a quick read-through missed, and am aware that none of these pickups are the Suzuki Verona.
If you have questions, please ask. If you see errors (in either content or with the site) please let me know. Note that not too many links on the site are working, but everything pertaining to the comparo should be.
And as much as this article seems to beg for a giant trollfest, please try to remain reasonable, back up any arguments that you make, and don't resort to name-calling. However, intelligent and constructive commentary/criticism is welcomed.
BTW, it costs money to run a site, so if viewers could please click on a few ads, I'd appreciate it.
I wasn't aware the Ridgeline was in this class, though, I thought it was more of an Avalanche contender. Interesting order also, I wouldn't have thought the Ridgeline that good, but it is a Honda. I figured the Dakota would be higher up too. But I'm not saying you're wrong or anything. I enjoy your reviews iffy, it's a lot better to read reviews from an actual consumer like yourself.

I would never pay $30,000 for a pickup, so I really can't be considered a consumer in this class.
And the Ridgeline fits in with this class in size (except width), price, and ability.

But you are an actual everyday person, not someone who drives supercars and gets paid to right and everything. You have an outlook from a more realistic view, other than basing a lot on sport and not much on price.

Price was a far more important consideration than sport.

Exactly. In case you were confused I was saying mags focus on sport and less on money, unlike you. Yours are realistic with the sense of what most people really need, or will be using them for.

More importantly, those that do try to focus on vehicle pricing are sticking to MSRP figures, which in most cases is worse than ignoring price completely.
Interesting review. I personally hate the Ridgeline, but I can see why you ranked it where you did, on realistic standards. I was suprised to see the Dakota do that poorly, but I had forgotten its pricing.

The pricing wasn't the worst part, it was simply general mediocrity. It simply didn't do anything especially well, inexcusable without a significant price advantage.

I normally think it's inexcusable no matter what, but I don't mind the Dakota too much. Though with the current new competitors the new model is not nearly as competitive as the last model.
