GM's and Ford's values drop

On the radio this morning they said something about that was short, sweet, and to the point.  It basically said that GM's and Ford's values dropped $2 million, and I think about one hour, because the companies SUV sales have plummited and because of the threats from foreign manufacturers.

Threats from foreign manufacturers? In the 80s, maybe. Now they're just competitors that are actually in their league. If they're just now thinking they're a threat, they're a little slow. If they mean brands that are doing increasingly well lately, like Hyundai, then I guess I could understand that statement.

I'm not sure what they meant, but maybe it took them a while to finally figure out they were serious competition.

Well, yes, I would think Toyota surpassing Daimler a while ago and Ford recently to become the world's #2 automaker would seem to imply that.
